Overview
CERS Lifecycle is committed to advancing sustainable, ethical, and transparent practices throughout the IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) and electronic waste recycling process. This ESG Policy reflects our commitment to reducing environmental impact, promoting social responsibility, and maintaining strong governance aligned with industry certifications including R2v3, RIOS, and i-SIGMA.
Environmental Responsibility
We actively minimize our environmental footprint by:
- Ensuring full compliance with R2v3 standards for responsible recycling and reuse of electronics.
- Following NIST 800-88 Rev.1 standards for secure data sanitization, reducing risks of data breaches and minimizing landfill waste.
- Maintaining an internal copy of wiped storage media upon customer request to support redundancy and reporting.
- Tracking and reporting CO₂e emissions reduction through asset reuse, remarketing, and certified recycling.
- Promoting repair, refurbishment, and resale to extend equipment life and reduce the need for raw material extraction.
Social Responsibility
We promote a safe, inclusive, and ethically driven workplace by:
- Ensuring safe working conditions in line with RIOS standards and local labor laws.
- Providing equal employment opportunities regardless of gender, race, age, or background.
- Partnering with schools, nonprofits, and under-resourced communities to enable digital access through refurbished IT assets.
- Implementing employee training programs on sustainability, data security, and compliance best practices.
- Respecting customer confidentiality through stringent data handling and destruction protocols.
Governance and Compliance
We operate with transparency, accountability, and security:
- Enforcing strict internal controls to ensure proper chain-of-custody tracking across all ITAD projects.
- Providing Certificates of Destruction (CoD) and Sanitization Reports for all data-bearing devices processed.
- Utilizing secure, tracked logistics and tamper-evident packaging.
- Conducting regular audits to maintain compliance with R2v3, i-SIGMA, and industry-recognized security standards.
- Engaging in continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and third-party certification renewals.
Stakeholder Engagement
We encourage input from stakeholders—including clients, employees, regulators, and communities—to improve our ESG practices. We maintain open communication channels and provide transparent reporting on ESG performance.
Review and Accountability
